PASTORAL CARE WORKERS

Hi, I am Cathy.

Abit about Me

I continue to enjoy my role as Pastoral Care Worker at Bordertown High School and feel it is a privilege to share in the lives of so many young people but also a necessity.

Sadly there are young people in our schools hurting for many reasons, this may have a negative impact in the classroom.

If we can listen and alleviate the concerns of the student this will then flow on to ease the work and the worry of the teacher, thus making learning easier.

I facilitate a ‘Grief and Loss’ program, anger management and self esteem support sessions. These assist young people to express their feelings in a constructive way, to be supportive of others, to recognise their own needs and to accept support.

I offer an inclusive, welcoming room during recess and lunch breaks, providing food and also offer breakfast on Thursdays where food and friendship is shared.

Hi, I am DAN.

Abit about Me

I am here on Tuesday and Wednesday.

I am married and have 8 foster children.

I live in Mundulla with my wife Ali and my foster daughter Jorja, who’s 17.

I like it when people tell me about themselves and their life.

I like to play guitar, and outdoor activities like fishing, camping and bushwalking. I like asian food, but I’m always ready to try something new.

You’ll find me wandering around the school or in the chaplains office. At lunch you’ll find me in the yard doing activities, or in the library playing games.

I look forward to meeting you.
